Natalie Brunk will serve as the McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison for the district.
All homeless children and youth will have equal access to and be able to participate in all instructional and non-instructional services provided to other students.
Homeless children and youth students will neither be stigmatized or segregated.
Homeless children and youth students shall be allowed to enroll (as space is available) without delay caused by lack of documents, information or proof of immunization or medical records, birth certificates, school records, guardianship issues, or dress code requirements.
EDUPRIZE shall inform homeless children and youth families of their rights and uphold them and provide families with information advocacy and support.
Homeless children and youth will be identified by school personnel and through coordination activities with other entities and agencies.
Homeless children and youth families receive educational services for which such families, children, and youths are eligible and referrals to health care services, dental services, mental health services, and other appropriate services.
The parents or guardians of homeless children and youth are informed of the educational and related opportunities available to their children and provided meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children.
Public notice of the educational rights of homeless children and youth is disseminated where such children and youths receive services under this Act, such as schools family shelters, and soup kitchens.
Enrollment disputes are mediated in accordance with paragraph (3)(E); and the parent or guardian of a homeless child or youth and any unaccompanied youth, is fully informed of all transportation services.
Transportation will be provided for homeless children and youth students enrolled at EDUPRIZE.
